Rose Ella Bleyenberg, age 81, of Jenison, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arvin Bleyenberg; Arvin and Rose were united as one in marriage in 1961. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arie & Anna VanMarel, her daughter, Leann Fae Bleyenberg, granddaughters, Allie & Alliese Kaptein, and four siblings, Evelyn Van Dam, Alvin Van Marel, Darlene Bolt, and Mary Palmquist. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ivan Bleyenberg, Gerardo & Lila VacaGuzman, Rick & Sharon Corson, Kevin & Arlys Vink, Verlyn & Jennifer Bleyenberg, Todd & Vonda Kaptein, Mark & Kristin Bleyenberg, David & Sara Bleyenberg , Rodney & Heather Bleyenberg; 29 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; siblings & inlaws, Arnie Van Marel, Loretta Van Otterloo, Clarella Van Marel, Vernon Bolt and Don Palmquist; and great extended family. Arvin and Rose met in her hometown of Steen, Minnesota where they both attended bible study. Residents of Edgerton, Minnesota for most of their lives, Rose loved being a mother of ten children and was known as the "best cook in town", spoiling the school children with home-cooked hot lunch on many occasions. She was also a skilled seamstress, happily helped at church, and when she found time she worked part-time at the bank, a local home for the elderly, and customer service at Schwan's food service. Of all the things she enjoyed, her family was her pride and joy. She was a devoted member of Grace Protestant Reformed Church. We are thankful for the legacy of faith rooted into our heritage. She will be deeply missed, but we are grateful for our hope in eternity, and that we will be reunited someday in glory.

Services in Michigan, will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Grace Protestant Reformed Church, 11225 8th Ave., Grand Rapids, MI 49534. Visitation will also be at Grace PRC, 6-8 PM, Monday, January 16.
