Joseph Anthony Dragstra was born on July 30, 1998, to Harlan J. Dragstra and Neva M. (Willard) Dragstra in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Joseph attended Edgerton Public Schools, graduating in 2016. During his high school years, you would see him driving his Jeep, playing his guitar, and hanging out with friends. After high school, Joseph moved to South Dakota to be closer to his job at Rivers Edge Decorative Concrete in Brandon, South Dakota.
Joseph was a quiet young man, but considered his close friends as family. He touched many lives through his music, kindness, and loyal friendship. He would spend his free time camping, hiking, playing his guitar,and making memories with his friends.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Neva Willard (White River, AZ), Harlan (Lesli) Dragstra (Edgerton, MN); sisters Rachelle Willard (Salt Lake City, UT), Jessica Dragstra (White River, AZ), brother Kody Williams (Flagstaff, AZ), bonus sister Alyssa (Brandon) Huisken (Leota, MN), and bonus brother Derek (Angela) Claar (Edgerton, MN); grandmother Eva Chee (Salt Lake City, UT), and bonus grandparents, Lyle and Marlys Buddenhagen (Edgerton, MN), along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents James “Jimmy” Chee and Joe and Jennie Dragstra.
