Harold John Kortleever was born October 28, 1938, to John and Myrtle (Uilk) Kortleever at home on the family farm near Edgerton, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Hardwick, Minnesota. He attended country school until he was in 8th grade. Harold was united in marriage to Gail Fey on December 22, 1970, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton. Together they were blessed with one daughter, Pam, and two sons, Nathan and Darrin. Harold’s first job was working for Tinklenberg House Moving Company. He later spent 26 years working as a custodian at Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Pipestone, Minnesota. Harold loved all his fellow employees and people that he had worked with. He enjoyed woodworking and watching Minnesota Twins baseball. Harold especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved attending, listening, and watching on-line their school activities and was proud of all they have accomplished in their lives. Harold was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton where he enjoyed all the messages he had listened to there.
